dropped!

That's right, my baby is lowered. Jeff was generous enough to help me with the springs and lend me his kick ass garage. With the weather being a little cold it helped a lot. It didn't take long, oh just about 9 hours. I think it was compressing and uncompressing the springs that took forever. Imagine doing that to 8 springs, yikes!

I'm very satisfied with the drop. The ride is not rough at all but is still noticeable around corners. The look just kicks ass, about 2 inches all around is perfect for me. In fact I already had a complement here at the apartments, too bad that person wasn't a hot chic who digs foreigners.

I'll get some pics later, I've been sick for 4 days now and the rain is not helping either.

class M baby!!

Damn straight, I am now a licensed Motorcycle driver. I took the Safety Rider Course about 3 months ago and my time was running out for a road test free pass. So I finially kicked my ass to the DMV and went through the lines to take the written test and the scary vision test. I really thought my 5 year old prescription wasn't going to cut it. It's time to save/budget a crotch rocket.

While I was at the DMV I also renewed my drivers license. Long gone is my stoned long haired picture, which I'll miss. Also watch out for the return of EHHXLNT. :)

new toy

Been wanting to change the stock shifter to this TWM. Shorter throws and more precise, but sometimes it's a little stiff when shifting a bit off. I've had a few miss shifts with the stock one and so far I haven't done so with the TWM. Check out the side by side .

The shift boot looks a little sad but I've grown used to it.

Next up.... springs. :)

new tC pics...

tC clean

It's been about a week since I drove home the tC and oh man did it get dirty fast. I spent Sunday morning washing and waxing the car. Also had some minor tweaks done to it. I took off the tC emblem to have a "cleaner" look, replaced the dealer plate frame, and replaced the headlight bulbs with Silverstars. Fortunately the tC uses the same size bulb as the Corolla, I didn't have to shell out some cash for new bulbs.

I decided to start a gallery for the tC. I thought it'd be interesting to see how it'll look overtime.

Next up is a S2000 antenna. Cheap and simple. It should be on it's way. :)

We have a winner!!..

tC

It was a close race, but ultimately I can't deny the hotness of the tC. Also the WRX have been on a coast to coast trip and it was a lot more expensive than I thought.

We went to two dealerships at NoVA. The first one didn't have anything but silver and the dealer dude was treating us like we didn't know diddly squat. Having set on the Black Cherry Pearl we moved on to Chantilly where there was about 5 tCs. 2 of em where the RS2.0 automatic, 1 automatic silver and 1 automatic Black Sand Pearl. Then just beyond the Scion lot there was this deep blue colored beast that turned out to be a 5 speed tC. I've never seen the color before on a tC but I fell for it fast. Gor-friggin-geous! No options except for the all season mats and an iPod holder. We took it out for a test drive or more like a 5 speed training session. 3-4 hours later I was officially broke and it was mine. A 2006 Nautical Blue Scion tC. :)

The clutch on this thing is kinda deep and mix in a sensitive gas pedal makes it hard to get used to, especially for a noob. I either spin and chirp the tires or stall. Like this morning for example, I stalled at the Burger King drive thru trying to get a sausage, egg, and cheese croissantwich... mmmmm.

I got home late Sunday night and didn't have time to take some pics and post it on here. There it is though, just a sneak peak. Let me have the weekend to clean it, replace that ugly ass plate frame, shave the TC badge, and of course put some Silverstars on there.

choices... wrx

2003 WRX, sonic yellow, 60,000 miles, 227 HP, AWD, 5 speed. There's a chance my sister's friend is getting rid of his WRX. All I have to do is continue the payments for 3 years at about $300 per month. The car is in great shape from what I've heard. I'm not too hot about the color but it is a WRX. The sedan version of what Mike had. At first I didn't even consider it since I had my heart set on the tC, but the price seems to be right and how can you ignore 227 horsies AWD turbo. Yumm.

Then again the tC is so damn sexy, inside and out. It just fits. On the other hand there's this simple looking bug eyed Subaru with an ok interior but will give you one hell of a ride.

sooo clooose...

Black Cherry Pearl. I thought I was set on Black Sand Pearl but man that thing is growing on me every second. Look at it, it's sexay! So I have everything priced out including ground effects kit and pedestal spoiler, I have my down payment set, I've talked to the dealer which is right next door, but I couldn't do it. Not just yet. See I'm waiting for that damn pay raise. I can afford it now but it'd be nice to have that extra "comfort." The devil side of me is saying go for it facka, you know you've been obsessing about it. Then uncle Scrooge McDuck is saying I already have a car and don't need it right away, wait for the right moment lad. It's good I guess, it'll give me some seat time with a manual. So, In a rare moment Uncle Scrooge wins, for now.
